The TRIO SSS Summer Bridge Program helps incoming first year and transfer students transition smoothly to OSU and campus life. This year the free summer program will have two components:
- Online Modules that will be accessible during the summer before the fall term starts on topics such as:
- OSU Technology and Class Schedules
- Financial Aid (Loans, Navigating Financial Aid Portal, etc.)
- Financial Literacy (Budgeting, Understanding Credit, SMART Goals, etc.)
- Career Center
- OSU Resources (Tutoring, Library, Ordering Transcripts, etc.) as well as
- Learning and Study Strategies Inventory (LASSI). The LASSI helps students measure their strengths and weaknesses in learning skills.
- In-Person Component: This year the in-person component will run September 15-18, 2026 for First Year students and Wednesday September 16, 2026 for Transfer students.
- During Summer Bridge, students living in the residence halls during the 2026-2027 academic year will be allowed to move in early. Activities will include workshops, tours, games, and bonding elements to prepare students for academic success at OSU.
- All incoming students admitted in TRIO SSS starting fall term must participate in both the in-person and online Summer Bridge Program.
