UBMS Educational Advisor for Sweet Home High School
Growing up in a low-income community I got to see the struggles and challenges that my fellow peers experienced when it came to wanting to pursue a higher education.
I am very excited to have the opportunity to help students attend college and prepare themselves for the real world through TRIO Upward Bound. Now more than ever, the younger generation needs our help to give them that extra motivation to take that next step forward in their life and I’m so excited to help them pave that new path. My upbringing in a small town provided a very wide range of backgrounds and has forced me to experience and see new things. Because of this, any student or parent is welcome to come to me for help with their child’s future whether it is college-related or not. College or overall success does not have to be a dream. It should be a plan.
